RIP failure

Onyx Version:
X11
Printer(s):
HP z6100, Mimaki JV33-160, HP Latex 370

Upgraded to 7.3.2, woo hoo...

Have been getting RIP errors. Mainly, this one:

11/11/09 15:44:36: Start Process Rip

Outputting to '.\\OUTPUT.C001'
(Black) not setup, using default color
(Red) not setup, using default color
(All) not setup, using default color
/VMerror
-PDFfile-
%%[ Error: VMerror; OffendingCommand: @showpage ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
An error occurred during processing!

11/11/09 15:47:31: End Process Rip

I tried clearing out the fonts, using the new DLL file that someone posted in another message, outlining fonts, changed the VMsize to 200,000,000, etc... can't figure anything out. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Anything else I can try?

On a side note, would PrepEdge help me with this kind of stuff? Does it preflight the file, say "hey, this is going to fail", and then fix it? I want to attend the webinar, but I can't find time right at the moment, and the online literature stinks.

Thanks,
Jon

Not sure if this is the cause but check it out - I posted this in another thread -

I found with the previous version settings the rip would choke on PDF and EPS files.

After some headscratching and swearing I finally found this on the Onyx site:

Quote:After updating to 7.3.2 I get rip errors with my postscript files
Updating to 7.3.2 gives the RIP error "/undefinedfilename, OffendingCommand" in postscript files. These files ripped without an error in previous versions.

This can happen if the FIXIMGTRANS and FIXSPOTTRANS options listed under Setup, Postscript, Configure RIP are checked. These options are no longer needed with version 7.3.2. Remove the check mark from these options if present and try ripping your file again.

I actually did try that, and both of those settings, while they say "yes" or "on" (can't remember)... they are not checked on.

I do have things like CCADL, overprint black, etc... checked on. I've tried different settings in the past, and have never seen a difference. Are any of those worth trying?
