Onyx dongle stopped working

Hi everyone,

I have been running my seiko 64s on Onyx photoshop 6.5 rip for a while and there has never been a problem until now the software stop loading . I have tried loading on 5 diffrent compuers but they all rejects the dongle . What could be the problem and what do you suggest I do next ?

There should be a program to check your dongle licence.

and if your onyx is 6.5, i think it may be time to upgrade.

Thanks Pauly, the dongle came bonded with the machine from inception and that is couple of years ago I dont think is a licence problem except if the licence has an expiry date to it .

If I need to upgrade, how do I do that please?

So if you bought your equipment new, contact who ever supplied onyx or the whole system. if not, you need to find a reseller in your country.

If your system is 6.5, i think you'll be amazed by x12. i went from x10 to x12 and it was a huge step.

Thanks, Pauly. The cost of the upgrade is killing to me. I really wish onyx can replace the USB key at a cost that will not mean closing my print shop down. I am in Africa and our economy does not support our business.

Hi Pauly I have been looking for my Dongle number but couldn't remember where I kept it. Its been about 9 years now and I have relocated my print office twice . Is there anyway I can read the licence number on the dongle itself ? My Regards. Raymond

There is an application called keyviewer.exe (or something very similar) on Onyx support ftp.
That might help to get you some information about your dongle. Driver version is important information.
Could be, that your dongle driver got updated somehow. In that case dongle stops working. You need to check that, make sure that you have matching driver installed. All needed tools for newer driver removal and proper driver installation can be found on Onyx support. Including guide on how to do it.
