Hi list, do you guys have any thoughts on ONYX's 'Cut Server' with the Summa S160T?

Many thanks,
Christian

I can't speak for the L25500, but I have an L65500 as well as a S160T and print/cut a ton of stuff using the two. I love my S160T.

Did you have specific questions or concerns?

Hi Scott, it's great to hear you love your S160T as we we're thinking about purchasing the S160D (drag knife), we change our minds and choose the tangential blade instead. We won't take delivery until Friday this week, so I hope you don't mind a few more questions in the near future as the L25500 and bigger L65500 print similar substrates.

We're really pleased to be able to offer our large format clients contour cutting options, incorporating regular vinyl decals and Latex media. Although we haven't purchased a Roland print and cut unit or similar, we are excited going forward here with our Summa.

Many thanks,
Christian
Hi Scott, just to clarify, we have purchased the S160T.

Kind regards,
Christian

Hi,im new here so pllease forgive me if this is in the wrong place but i need some help.
I have just updated onyx 10 to 10.1.0.54 and have a summa s160 t series which before the update used the older barcode system it had its faults but still worked now the update has changed the barcode to the newer postnet barcode and xy marks, the cutter does cut but now every thing it cuts is about 3 mm out horizontally and about the same vertically.
I think we have tried just about every combination of pc settings and summa control panal settings but to no avail does any one know why this is happening.
Thanks

I too have an HP L25500 as well as a Summa Cut D140 plotter. We've recently experienced a problem with the CutServer. First it didn't recognize any of the jobs we sent (this is after having no problems printing and then cutting the jobs). Now we have an issue with the jobs being sent to print, AND being sent to the CutServer, but then when you try to release the job, nothing happens. Any ideas?
