HP DesignJet Z3200ps 44-inch photo printer

Hello everyone,
Such an amazing forum!
I am working on developing a model on predicting the color attributes of the color printouts, using the HP DesignJet Z3200ps 44-inch photo printer, and of course the Onyx Thrive. My printer uses 12 inks, including light cyan, light magenta, magenta, yellow, blue, green, red, photo black, matte black, light gray, E and G.
I am trying to print some color patches using some predefined ink sets, for instance, just cyan, magenta and yellow (i.e. CMY). In other words, I want to close all of the ink channels, other than cyan , magenta (M) and yellow (Y) and make the printer to use only the cyan, magenta and yellow inks for printing my color patches.
I was wondering if such control on printer’s ink channels is possible by the Onyx or not.
Moreover, does anyone know which printing technique the HP DesignJet Z3200ps 44-inch photo printer uses? I mean is it “Halftone” or “Continuous tone”?
Thank you in advance and appreciate your response.
